Weekly practice
Notice what attention feels like without optional feeds, alerts, or AI tools setting the pace.
The practice
- Choose a bounded start and end time.
- Decide what stays available for safety, care, accessibility, and necessary work.
- Silence optional alerts and place feeds or AI tools out of immediate reach.
- Notice urges, thoughts, and available activities without treating them as a purity test. Re-enter deliberately when time ends.
Adapt it
Begin with ten minutes or silence one category of input. Use accessibility tools and essential communication without apology.
Stop if
Disconnection creates a safety, care, work, or accessibility problem. Restore what is needed; the practice is observation, not deprivation.
