Weekly practice
Notice which kinds of contribution are active, strained, overused, or missing in a situation that matters.
The practice
- Name one current situation without trying to solve it.
- Ask what needs structure, what needs care, what needs practice, and what needs a beginning.
- Notice which role you are already carrying and where it is strained.
- Invite, share, or practice one missing contribution without assigning anyone a permanent identity.
Adapt it
Use the four questions alone, with a partner, or at the end of a meeting. One person can hold several roles; several people can share one.
Stop if
Role language is being used to rank, stereotype, excuse harm, or trap someone in a category. Return to concrete functions and present consent.
