The practice

  1. Pause before opening optional feeds or messages.
  2. Name what matters today in one sentence.
  3. Name the capacity you actually have: low, moderate, or spacious.
  4. Choose one action that fits both what matters and the capacity available.

Adapt it

Write three lines, speak them aloud, or think them while making tea. On a low-capacity day, choose an action that takes two minutes.

Stop if

The practice turns into self-criticism or pressure to produce. Replace the action with rest, support, or a smaller obligation if that is what conditions require.
