Drift Check

Weekly practice

Keep a routine responsive to life instead of continuing it through momentum, guilt, or habit alone.

Use it when
A structure feels heavy, confusing, or disconnected from the reason it began.

The practice

  1. Choose one recurring routine, agreement, or system.
  2. State the purpose it was meant to serve.
  3. Notice what it currently makes easier and what cost it creates.
  4. Keep, revise, pause, or retire one part for the next week, then set a review date.

Adapt it

Review one calendar block, household task, meeting, or digital habit. Ask another affected person for evidence you may not see.

Stop if

The review becomes a search for who is to blame. Return to purpose, effect, and the smallest change that can be tested safely.
