Evening Return

Daily practice

Close the day without turning review into judgment or carrying every open loop into rest.

The practice

  1. Name one thing that was completed, attempted, or learned.
  2. Name one thing that remains open without solving it now.
  3. Decide the next visible action or the person who needs an update.
  4. Name one thing you are choosing not to carry into tomorrow.

Adapt it

Use a notebook, voice note, or a brief exchange with someone you trust. If review is activating, do only the final step.

Stop if

Reflection increases rumination, shame, or pressure to account for every hour. Shift to a simple closing cue such as putting tools away or dimming a light.
